UTSA hosts a pair over weekend

SAN ANTONIO -- UTSA men's tennis will return to action on Friday, hosting Louisiana-Lafayette at 2 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center. UTSA will then host Abilene Christian on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Roadrunners (4-3) come into the home weekend having split last weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth, taking a win at UT Arlington before falling at eight-win SMU.

UTSA senior Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) was named Conference USA Player of the Week on Wednesday after posting a ranked singles win at UTA last week. Reckow leads UTSA with a 5-1 mark in singles in 2021, a year after going 9-0 and earning all-league honors.

Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) has gone 4-2, with UTSA also getting three singles wins from Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil), Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Javier Gonzalez (Trujillo, Peru).  Ceolin and Sebastian Rodriguez, and Gonzalez and Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas) lead UTSA with a 3-0 mark in doubles.
