SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team posted a 4-0 win over Lamar, improving to 6-1 at home in 2021, on Sunday morning at the UTSA Tennis Center.
UTSA (11-6) took down Lamar (7-6) using a doubles point and wins on court 2, court 3 and court 4 for the win.
The Roadrunners won in doubles behind court 1 win from Kai Breitbach (Kaarst, Germany) and Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil), 6-4. On court 3, Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) and Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas) picked up a 6-1 win.
In singles, Ceolin picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Filippo Salsini. Breitbach won on court three, 6-4, 6-2, with freshman Slava Gulin (Moscow, Russia) earning a 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 win on court 3.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Saturday, traveling to face Rice in Houston.
