Roberson shines in 400m hurdles on Thursday at Texas Relays

AUSTIN — Faith Roberson posted the second-fastest time in UTSA history in the women's 400-meter hurdles to highlight Thursday action for the Roadrunners at the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Roberson, a junior transfer from Angelo State, clocked a time of 59.03 seconds in the first round of the 400m hurdles to etch her name in the UTSA record book as the No. 2 all-time performer in the event. Her time was the sixth fastest of the evening and earned the Wall, Texas, native one of nine spots in Saturday's final set for 3:35 p.m.

Roberson's performance came on the heels of teammate Alanah Yukich's record-setting showing last Saturday when she posted a time of 58.70 at the UTSA Invitational. In less than a week, that duo now has registered the two fastest times in the 400m hurdles in program history.

The three-day meet will continue on Friday and live coverage on Longhorn Network is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
