Roadrunners ranked No. 26 by Golfstat

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — After finishing ahead of eight nationally ranked teams over the last two tournaments, UTSA appears at No. 26 in this week's Golfstat NCAA Division I men's golf rankings.

The Roadrunners moved up to 26th this week from their ranking of 64th two weeks ago after their strong showings at both the Cabo Collegiate at TPC San Antonio and at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

UTSA finished eighth at the Cabo Collegiate on March 1-3 at the Oaks Course, placing ahead of then-top-ranked Arizona, No. 23 Houston, No. 27 Baylor, 30th-ranked Stanford and No. 31 Arkansas.

This week, the Roadrunners earned a runner-up finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, beating a trio of top-50 teams in No. 18 North Texas, No. 37 Louisville and 38th-ranked TCU in the process.

UTSA currently is the highest-ranked Conference USA team and joins UAB (37) and North Texas (38) as league squads in the top 50.

Through three tournaments this season, the Roadrunners are 32-13 against the field with only one finish behind a team ranked outside the top 50.

Additionally, UTSA is 40th in the latest Golfweek Men's Team Collegiate Rankings, which can be viewed at rankings.golfweek.com.

UTSA will return to the course next Monday-Tuesday, March 15-16, at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette.
