SAN ANTONIO – UTSA softball head coach Michelle Cheatham announced the 2021 schedule on Thursday.
The 2021 slate features five tournaments, including the 2021 UTSA Classic and 18 home games.
The Roadrunners open the season Feb. 12 in Houston where they will take on Texas Southern. UTSA will then travel to Beaumont Feb. 13 to play Lamar in a doubleheader before returning back to Houston to face the Cougars on Feb. 14 for two games.
Sam Houston State hosts the Bearkat Classic Feb. 19-21 where the Roadrunners will play nationally-ranked Oklahoma, Louisiana-Monroe and the Bearkats.
The Roadrunners return home Feb. 26-28 for the UTSA Classic where they will host Kansas, UT Arlington and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Hitting the road once again, UTSA travels to Lake Charles, La. March 5-6 for the Cowgirl Classic and play McNeese State and Texas Southern twice each.
On March 12, the Roadrunners fill travel to I-10 rival Texas State before hosting the Bobcats the next day.
UTSA heads north to Oklahoma for the Mizuno Classic March 19-21. The Roadrunners will take on host Oklahoma State, Wichita State and Kansas City over the weekend.
The following weekend (March 26-27), the Longhorns host the Bevo Classic, which includes Texas, South Dakota and UT Arlington.
The Roadrunners open Conference USA action April 1-3 when they host Louisiana Tech. UTSA will also host UAB (April 23-25) and UTEP (May 7-9) during the season.
UTSA has two road series at Southern Miss (April 10-11) and North Texas (April 30-May 2) in 2021.
The C-USA Championship is set for May 12-15 in Bowling Green, Ky.
Information on fan attendance will be announced at a later date.
