Roadrunners and Cougars tie after double overtime

SAN ANTONIO – After 110 minutes of battle for the ball, the Roadrunners and the Cougars tied 0-0 Wednesday afternoon at Park West Athletics Complex.

The game was close the entire time as the teams fought for the ball and to find the net. UTSA posted seven shots on the day as Houston had just one more with eight. There were also a total of 14 corner kicks taken between the two teams.

Seven Roadrunners had shots with Abby Kassal leading the team with two. Jil Schneider played all 110 minutes and posted two saves in her third start of the season.

UTSA is now 5-7-22 in double overtime games in program history.

The Roadrunners return to action on Sunday when they host Rice for the conference opener.
