SAN ANTONIO -- UTSA senior guard Jhivvan Jackson has set the NCAA's record for scoring among Latin-born players, passing Northeastern star J.J. Barea.
Jackson, a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, has scored 2,461 points in his career. He has passed Northeastern great J.J. Barea (2003-06), a native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to become the all-time leading Latin-born scorer in NCAA history as a senior.

He topped former Rutgers/Manhattan standout Luis Flores (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic), Felipe Lopez (Santo Domingo, D.R.), a former star at St. John's from 1995-98, and former Kansas State star Rolando Blackman (Panama City, Panama), who scored 1,844 points from 1978-81.
