UTSA announces pair of future football games against Army

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA announced Friday that it will play a pair of future nonconference football games against Army West Point.

The Roadrunners will travel to West Point, N.Y., for the first time in program history to face the Black Knights on Sept. 10, 2022, at Michie Stadium.

In 2023, UTSA will host Army, an FBS Independent, for the second time on Sept. 16 at the Alamodome. The two teams first met on Sept. 14, 2019, in San Antonio.

The Sept. 10, 2022 road date with the Black Knights gives UTSA four nonconference contests that season. The Roadrunners will host Houston on Sept. 3 and they will welcome Texas Southern to the Alamodome on Sept. 24 one week after traveling to Austin to play Texas.

The 2023 non-league slate also includes a Sept. 2 road game versus Houston and a home matchup against Texas State on Sept. 9.

The Roadrunners have six home games scheduled for their 10th season of football in 2020. UTSA will host Grambling (Sept. 19), Memphis (Sept. 26), Old Dominion (Oct. 17), Louisiana Tech (Oct. 24), UTEP (Nov. 14) and North Texas (Nov. 28) at the Alamodome. Season tickets start at $75 and are on sale now by calling 210-458-UTSA (8872) or visiting goUTSA.com/tickets.
