Jackson, a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, had a season-best 27 points on 10 of 15 shooting, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range. Jackson, who averaged a Conference USA record 26.8 points per game last year while shattering UTSA's season and career records for points scored, had six rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes.

Our Lady of the Lake shot just 33 percent from the field, while UTSA shot 41 percent, including an 8 of 28 mark from 3-point range. UTSA owned margins in points off turnovers (26-11), second-chance points (23-10), bench points (38-22) and points in the paint (52-30).

UTSA will return to action on Tuesday, hosting Lamar at 6 p.m. at the Convocation Center in a game broadcast live on CUSA TV and Ticket 760 AM.

Jackson scored UTSA's first five points, including a wing triple, to take a 5-2 lead. After Wallace drilled a wing three, UTSA took the lead to 8-2 in the opening minutes of the contest. The Saints then scored eight of the next 10 points to even the game at 10 before Czumbel sank a wing 3-pointer.

Czumbel's triple sparked a 7-0 run that included a Jackson floater and a Barisic bucket at the rim, taking the lead to 17-10. The run continued to 19-1, including 12 straight for the Roadrunners, as the lead ballooned to 29-11, behind buckets from Jackson, Barisic and Alley.

OLLU snapped the streak with five straight before Germany executed a post move for a bucket. After a 3-pointer from Jackson on an offensive rebound, UTSA scored 10 of the next 14 points to take the lead to 42-22. Jackson and Adrian Rodriguez each sank free throws as the lead grew to 20 for the first time as the clock ticked under four minutes.

A quick 5-0 run in the final minute, including Jackson's corner trey and a take to the rim, gave UTSA a 54-30 lead at halftime. Jackson led all scorers with 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting, while Germany and Barisic each chipped in nine points. It marked Jackson's highest scoring half since going for 25 points in the second half at FAU in 2019-20.

The Saints scored the first six points of the second half before Parrish got UTSA on the board with a basket in the paint. Wallace then sank a midrange jumper to give UTSA a 58-36 lead and Germany helped keep the Saints at a distance with a pair of baskets at the rim, owning a 64-40 lead at the first media break of the second half.

OLLU cut the lead to under 20 after the timeout but UTSA ripped off seven consecutive points, including a triple from Barisic, to take the lead to 74-48 with 13:10 left in regulation. The lead grew to 29 with just over nine minutes left as the teams separated in the closing minutes.
