SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's basketball team will host Sul Ross State on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Convocation Center. The game will be broadcast live on CUSA TV and Ticket 760 AM.
UTSA (1-2) is coming off a road setback at Oklahoma on Thursday night in a rescheduled game from Nov. 25. This marks the second straight week with back-to-back games on consecutive nights, as UTSA posted a season-opening win over UT Permian Basin last Friday night before falling on the road at UTRGV on Saturday evening.
Sul Ross State (1-2) has played three games before the exhibition outing with the Roadrunners, posting a win over McMurry on Nov. 27 but falling at East Texas Baptist on Nov. 19 and Hardin-Simons on Nov. 28. Tristen Licon leads the Lobos with 15.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the first three outings. Logan Dixon adds 14 points and four rebounds, while Caelyb Kerley averages 12 points and four boards per game.
UTSA has won all three meetings in the series with Sul Ross State, claiming the last meeting in 2003, 100-71.
