CW35 to rebroadcast three UTSA football games beginning April 25

SAN ANTONIO — In partnership with Roadrunners Sports Properties, KMYS CW35 San Antonio will rebroadcast past UTSA football games on each of the next three Saturdays, beginning with the 2016 victory against North Texas at 1 p.m. this Saturday, April 25.

CW35 also will air the 2017 road win against UTEP at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, and the last-second triumph over Marshall in the 2017 home finale at 1 p.m. on May 9.

The first rebroadcast will feature the 2016 Conference USA matchup between the Roadrunners, sporting all-black uniforms for the first time in program history, and the Mean Green. Jalen Rhodes and Jarveon Williams rushed for 74 yards apiece, while the defense forced four turnovers — two fumbles and a pair of interceptions — in the 31-17 win.

May 2's re-air will showcase the 31-14 victory over the Miners in El Paso. UTSA used a ball-control offense that tallied 393 yards and held possession for more than 34 minutes, while interceptions by Nate Gaines and Devron Davis — which he returned 22 yards for a TD — helped the defense limit UTEP to 243 total yards.

The third telecast will look back at the 9-7 conference victory against Marshall in the 2017 home finale, one day after UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos was introduced. The Roadrunners rode the right foot of place-kicker Jared Sackett — who made three field goals, including the game winner with two seconds left — and saw the defense limit the Thundering Herd to 229 yards of offense.
