Roadrunners conclude road trip in San Marcos

MATCHUP: The teams split the last 10 matches with UTSA currently owning a four-match winning streak, dating back to March 30, 2016. Jasmin Starr, Laura Cabrera, Kylee Kato and Catalina Cabrique secured triumphs in their singles matches as the Roadrunners accomplished a 6-1 decision in the last contest between the two sides March 9, 2019.
 
LAST TIME OUT: UTSA dropped its fourth match in succession Sunday, falling at Houston 4-0. All four losses are on the road as the Roadrunners finish up their longest road swing of the campaign. Tuesday's contest with the Bobcats is the road trip finale.
 
Texas State enters Tuesday with a three-match losing streak, last playing at Houston Feb. 22 and going down 7-0. While the Roadrunners are playing their third match in five days, the Bobcats have not competed in nine days.
 
ABOUT UTSA: The Roadrunners are 27-31 in singles action and 14-16 in doubles play. Starr is 7-1, while Kato and Keegan McCain have six victories each in singles play. As the top duo, Starr and McCain own half of the team's wins with a 7-2 mark as the top duo.
 
ABOUT TEXAS STATE: The Bobcats are 43-53 in individual play and 21-20 in doubles. Ana Perez owns a 10-7 mark – all at the No. 1 singles spot - while Rishona Israel-Lewis is 10-6 as the team's No. 2. They are the only Bobcats with a winning record in singles play. Andrea Fuchs and Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez are 5-3 as the third partnership, while Israel-Lewis and Josefina Cassara are 4-1 as the No. 2 duo.
