Men’s Tennis travels to Lafayette on Sunday

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team will continue its three-match road swing to open the 2020 season with a matchup at Louisiana in Lafayette, La., at 11 a.m. on Sunday. 
 
The Roadrunners (0-2) have opened the season with a trip to California to face UC Davis and most recently fell vs. Portland in Dallas at SMU on Sunday. 
 
The Roadrunners have been led early in 2020 by senior Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany), who is 2-0 in singles and has combined to go 1-1 over two pairings in doubles. 
 
Senior Kai Breitbach (Kaarst, Germany) is 1-1 in singles and 1-1 in his two double pairings. Freshman Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) is 1-1 in singles after a dominating win on Sunday and has posted a combined 2-0 mark in doubles over two pairings. 
 
UTSA is under the direction of first-year head coach Sergey Avdeyev, who is assisted by Cullen Dees. Avdeyev took over the program after a decorated career as the associate head coach at league power Old Dominion after a decorated playing career at Oklahoma. Dees helped lead Texas to the men's national title last year as an assistant coach for the Longhorns.
