Southern Miss upends Roadrunners Saturday

NATCHITOCHES, La. –Southern Miss snapped UTSA women's tennis longest winning streak of the season with a 4-1 decision at the Jack Fisher Lady Demon Complex Saturday.
 
The Roadrunners No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams fell by identical 2-6 results with UTSA finding itself behind 1-0 heading into singles action.
 
Despite Jasmin Starr improving to 6-1 – all at the No. 1 position –  on the campaign with a three-set win and No. 5 Kylee Kato and No. 6 Keegan McCain leading their respective matches, the Golden Eagles took the team win. Their No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 prevailed in straight-sets in each of their contests, securing the result.  
 
Up Next:
UTSA takes on Northwestern State at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Jack Fisher Lady Demon Complex.
