UTSA to open spring season Monday at Arizona Intercollegiate

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's golf team will open the spring season on Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 27-28, at the Arizona Intercollegiate, which will be held at Sewailo Golf Club (par 71/7,292 yards) in Tucson, Ariz.
 
The Roadrunners will compete against host Arizona, Baylor, Iowa State, Little Rock, Long Beach State, Mississippi State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Saint Mary's, ULM, UTEP, Washington and Washington State.
 
The field will play two rounds on Monday beginning with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start and the final 18 holes are slated for Tuesday.
 
UTSA turned in a trio of top-10 team finishes in the fall campaign, highlighted by a sixth-place showing at the Lone Star Invitational in September. The Roadrunners also finished ninth at both the Trinity Forest Invitational and Maridoe Intercollegiate.
 
Individually, David Harrison led UTSA with a 72.67 stroke average in 12 rounds with Will Adams (73.0) and Collin Clark (73.6) close behind that pace. Clark registered the top individual finish of the season with a ninth-place effort at the Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio.
 
The Roadrunners finished 10th with a 1-over 853 (290-282-281) at last year's Arizona Intercollegiate. Chad Sewell and Sean Meehan finished in a tie for 27th place with a 2-under 211 to guide UTSA.
