SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team travels to El Paso this weekend to play UTEP on Saturday at the Don Haskins Center. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. CT.
All-time series
- UTSA leads the series 22-13.
- The last meeting between the two teams was Feb. 23, 2019 when the Miners won 77-73.
- The Roadrunners are 9-8 in El Paso.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA enters the contest 6-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Roadrunners recently defeated Louisiana Tech 82-73, but fell to Southern Miss, 65-82.
Mikayla Woods led the team in both games, averaging 22.5 points and eight boards. She also recorded four steals on the week.
Scouting UTEP
UTEP comes into the game 10-5 overall record and 3-1 in C-USA contests.
The Miners have conference wins over FIU (64-34), Florida Atlantic (96-65) and Southern Miss (89-73). Their only loss so far is to the Lady Techsters on Jan. 11 when they won 87-80 in Ruston.
Katarina Zec leads the team with 13.1 points and five rebounds per game.
