SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team opens Conference USA play this week when it hosts Florida Atlantic and FIU. The Roadrunners take on the Owls on Thursday at 7 p.m. and the Panthers on Saturday at 2 p.m.

UTSA finished its non-conference slate with a 4-7 record. The Roadrunners are coming off a 58-155 loss to Texas Tech on Dec. 29.
Karrington Donald led the team with 16 points, while Evelyn Omemmah (11) and Adryana Quezada (10) followed behind.
Scouting Florida Atlantic
Florida Atlantic closed 2019 hosting the FAU Holiday Classic and a 6-5 overall record.
Crystal Primm leads the team averaging 14.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The Owls have wins over Hampton (64-63), Siena (83-39), Little Rock (79-72), Western Michigan (80-79), Loyola Maryland (72-61) and Central Connecticut State (72-54).
Scouting FIU
FIU enters the contest with a 3-8 record in non-conference action. The Panthers are coming off a 72-57 loss to Brown on Dec. 29.
Jiselle Thomas leads the squad with 11.9 points per game.
FIU has victories over Georgia State (70-63), North Carolina Central (59-58) and Grambling State (56-55).
