SAN ANTONIO – UTSA baseball head coach Jason Marshall has resigned his position, it was announced by UTSA Athletics Director Lisa Campos on Monday afternoon.
Marshall has been UTSA's head coach since taking over for the 2013 season after spending 12 years as an assistant coach with the program. A native of Abilene, Texas, Marshall posted a 209-192 record over his seven seasons.

For over the past 18 years, the San Antonio community has had the tremendous opportunity to witness Jason Marshall serve UTSA Athletics and our baseball program. He has mentored and developed countless student-athletes and has moved the baseball program forward. As the head coach the past seven years, Jason has served as a role model of the game.
At the conclusion of our season at the C-USA Baseball Championship, Jason announced to the team he will be resigning as head coach to pursue other opportunities which will provide him more time to be with his family. I respect and honor Jason's decision and am thankful for the years of service to UTSA. I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.
A national search to find the next head baseball coach will commence immediately. Because of Jason and other past head coaches' achievements, I have no doubt this will be a very attractive position. Our efforts will focus on finding an individual who will embrace our mission to develop champions in academics, in competition and in life while winning championships, as this is fundamental to UTSA Athletics.
