DALLAS – Adryana Quezada was named the Conference USA Co-Freshman of the Week for her performance this past week, announced by the conference office on Monday. This is the first time she has earned this award.
Quezada posted a career-high 32 points against Texas Wesleyan, tying the school record for points in a game by a freshman.
The Frisco, Texas, native also recorded 12 rebounds in the game and hit 71.4 percent from the field, the best by a Roadrunner this season.
She ties the team lead with Mikayla Woods for points per game with 14.1 and leads the team in field goal percentage, field goals made and offensive rebounds. The freshman ranks third in field goal percentage in the conference.
The Roadrunners return to action on Dec. 20 when they face Texas Tech in Lubbock.
