Women's Tennis releases 2020 spring schedule

SAN ANTONIO – Ki Kroll, head coach of the UTSA women's tennis, announced the team's 2020 spring schedule Thursday.
 
Home matches are contested at the UTSA Tennis Center on campus. Of the 23 matches on the schedule, 10 will takr place at home.
 
The Roadrunners plan to improve on the 2019 campaign, which closed with a semifinals loss to nationally ranked Old Dominion at the Conference USA Championship.
 
UTSA opens with a four-match road trip at Baylor Jan. 20. The Roadrunners continue their Texas swing at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (Jan. 31), UIW (Feb.2) and UT Arlington (Feb 8), before kicking off their home slate. Sam Houston State (Feb. 14) and UTRGV ( Feb. 15) visit the Alamo City before the Roadrunners conclude the three-match home stand in a rematch with Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (Feb. 18).
 
A week-long jaunt into Louisiana and the Southeastern part of Texas wraps up February for UTSA with three of four matches against fellow Conference USA members. The Roadrunners travel to Ruston, Louisiana, for a match against LA Tech (Feb. 21), before making the short ride to Natchitoches, Louisiana. There the Roadrunners take on Southern Miss (Feb. 22) and Northwestern State (Feb. 23). Rice and UTSA tangle in Houston, Texas, Feb. 28.
 
March ushers in nine matches for women's tennis with six taking place on their home court. They open the month with in-state rival Texas State (March 3), before hosting a double-dip March 7.  UTEP and the UTSA meet at 11 a.m., while the Roadrunners and Laredo Community College get together at 3 p.m.
 
After a two-match Florida swing with stops at Stetson (March 11) and against Fairfield (March 13) in Orlando, Florida, UTSA hosts SMU (March 17), Lamar (March 22) and Idaho State (March 23).
 
UTSA begins a three-match road trip – all against C-USA members – at north Texas (March 28), then head to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a double-header against Charlotte at 10 a.m. and WKU at 3 p.m. April 3.
 
Senior Day is scheduled for April 11 when the Roadrunners host New Mexico State.
 
The 2020 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championships will take place April 16-19 in Miami, Florida, hosted by FIU.
