Three Roadrunners earn all-conference honors

DALLAS – Three Roadrunners were named to the Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Conference team.
 
Ellis Patterson earned All-Conference Second Team accolades, Lexi Bolton was named to the All-Conference Third Team and Deja Sandoval made the All-Freshman team after a stellar first year.
 
Patterson finished the year with six goals, six assists and 18 points and posted 23 shots with 16 on target. The junior recorded game-winning goals at Grand Canyon and against Cleveland State. She led the team in points, goals, assists and tied for game-winning goals. Patterson ranks in multiple top 10 categories at UTSA, started every game this season and played 1,107 minutes. This is the second-consecutive year Patterson earned all-conference honors after being named to the third team last year.
 
Bolton posted four goals, three assists and 11 points this season. She recorded 51 shots with 24 on target and led the team in shots and shots on goal. Bolton currently holds the school record in shots per game and ranks in the top 10 in multiple other categories at UTSA. This is also Bolton's second-consecutive time to earn the award after earning all-freshman team accolades last year.
 
Sandoval finished her freshman campaign with four goals and eight points as a defender. She posted eight shots with six on target and a .750 SOG percentage. The Albuquerque, N.M., native recorded the game-winning goal at Houston Baptist and against Southern Miss. She ranks seventh in goals per game at UTSA and started 14 of 16 games this season. Sandoval also played every minute of conference action and was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 21.
 
This is the second-consecutive season the Roadrunners have had members of the all-conference team.
