SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team is set to host the University of the Southwest on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
This is the first meeting between the two teams.

UTSA (2-1) is coming off a 53-84 loss to No. 22 Texas on Nov. 14.
Freshman Mikayla Woods led the team with a career-high 15 points. Adryana Quezada also hit double digits with 10 points. Seniors Evelyn Omemmah and Timea Toth recorded six rebounds each.

USW enters the contest 1-6.
The Mustangs, an NAIA school, have played Northern New Mexico College (70-76), Southwestern Christian (64-74), Tabor College (43-68), Bethel College (48-68), Abilene Christian (52-104), Sul Ross State (66-62), University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (57-102) and Oklahoma Panhandle State (56-87) so far this season.
Mykal Thomas and Elisa Gonzalez lead the team, averaging 9.8 points per game each.
