FIRST SERVE
• This is the 30th all-time meeting, with Rice holding a 22-7 advantage.
• The Roadrunners are 4-6 at home against the Owls.
• Rice is 7-3 in the last 10 matches in the series, including six in succession.
 
SETTING THE SCENE
• UTSA is 7-3 at home this season, including 5-1 in Conference USA matches.
• The Roadrunners are fourth in the C-USA standings but will move to third with wins in the final two matches. 
• UTSA earned its seventh C-USA Championship berth, qualifying each season since joining the league in 2013.

• Averages the seventh most aces at 1.28 per game and the 1.87 blocks per set is 10th.
• Nicole Lennon tallies a league-best 4.52 kills per set.
• Anota Adekunle is second in the league with a .430 hitting percentage.
• Grace Morgan hits .356, placing her fifth in the conference.
 
LAST MEETING
• In the first meeting of the season, the Owls claimed a 3-0 win Oct. 4 at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston. 
Hannah Lopez led UTSA with nine kills and added five digs.
Kara Teal converted six of her eight opportunities. 
Courtney Walters produced 16 of the team's 28 assists.
Emily Ramirez finished with 11 digs.
• Rice outhit the Roadrunners .360 (47-11-100) to .114 (28-16-105).
 
Thursday's matchup is the #SetTheExpectation game for volleyball. Student-athletes will be collecting donations for the battered women's shelter at each event and inviting fans to sign a community pledge to be the change in culture of violence at schools and in the community.
