CARROLLTON, Texas — Adam House posted the low round for the UTSA men's golf team on a windy second day of the Maridoe Intercollegiate on Monday at Maridoe Golf Club (par 72/7,554 yards).
Battling a brisk north wind of 15-20 miles per hour, House carded a 76 to lead the Roadrunners in the second round. The senior from Rockwall, Texas, wrote down three birdies on the day, including back-to-back threes on Nos. 5-6 as part of an even-par 36 on the front nine. House is tied for 36th place with a 155 (79-76) with 18 holes left to play on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Christian Fanfelle leads all Roadrunners at 5-over-par 149 through the first two rounds and the sophomore is tied for 13th. The San Antonio native, who has seven birdies and has played the par fives at 3-under par thus far, followed Sunday's even-par 72 with a 77 on Monday that was highlighted by three consecutive birdies on the front side, where he carded a 1-under 35.
Chad Sewell is tied for 51st with a 159 (78-81), while Collin Clark and Hunter Bott round out the UTSA lineup in 57th (81-80—161) and 64th (79-86—165).
UTSA is in 12th place with a 622 (308-314), 10 shots behind Louisiana and 12 back of Nebraska. SMU (591) sits atop the team leaderboard behind individual leader Noah Goodwin (68-74—142).
The final round is slated to get underway on Tuesday morning. The Roadrunners will tee off on No. 10 beginning at 9:10 a.m.
