SAN ANTONIO —The UTSA men's golf team will return to action on Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 6-8, at the Maridoe Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by North Texas at Maridoe Golf Club (par 72/7,554 yards) in Carrollton, Texas.
The Roadrunners will face Arkansas State, Little Rock, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Texas, San Francisco, SMU, Texas A&M, UTEP and Washington in the 54-hole, stroke-play event.
The field will play 18 holes each day and live scoring will be provided online at http://results.golfstat.com//public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=18212.
This will mark the Roadrunners' second trip to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex this fall with a third set for Oct. 21-22 when they compete in the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas. It also will be a homecoming for UTSA's senior duo of Collin Clark, a native of nearby Mansfield, and Adam House, who hails from Rockwall.
UTSA carded a 905 (303-310-292) to place 10th at last year's Maridoe Intercollegiate. Sean Meehan fired a 224 (75-80-69) to tie for 20th, while Clark shared 41st place with a 228 (74-81-73).
The Roadrunners are coming off a ninth-place tie at the Trinity Forest Invitational on Sept. 22-24 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. David Harrison tied for 23rd with a 1-under-par 212 (70-72-70) and Will Adams posted a 214 (72-72-70) to tie for 33rd, while Chad Sewell was one shot back in a tie for 41st (74-68-73—215).
