UTSA set for Princess Anne Invitational this weekend

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will travel to Virginia for the Princess Anne Invitational, which will be hosted by Old Dominion on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 4-6, at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.
 
The Roadrunners will compete against Campbell, College of Charleston, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, LSU, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Minnesota, Sacramento State, UCF, USF, Virginia Tech and the host Monarchs. 
 
The field will play 18 holes each day on the 5,816-yard, par-70 layout and live scoring will be provided at golfstat.com.
 
UTSA last competed on Sept. 16-17 at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship in Knoxville, Tenn. Ana Gonzalez finished in sole possession of third place after firing a 7-under-par 206 (71-67-68) to lead the Roadrunners to an 11th-place showing. The junior from Monterrey, Mexico, turned in the second-best 54-hole scorecard in program history behind a 205 that she registered at the same tournament in 2017.
