Women’s tennis ventures to New Mexico

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team will face off with a trio of opponents in Albuquerque, N.M., taking on Cameron on Friday, Abilene Christian on Saturday and host New Mexico on Sunday. 
 
UTSA (0-1) is coming off a season-opening loss at Texas A&M last week. The Roadrunners used Mariah Plauth (Florianopolis, Brazil), Jasmin Starr (Templestowe, Victoria, Australia), Charleen Tiwari (Perth Australia), Sophie Omoworare (Plano, Texas), Kylee Kato (Kahului, Hawaii) and Laura Cabrera in singles competition last week. 
 
Starr and Kato teamed to open the doubles season, with Plauth and Cabrera and Tiwari and Omoworare also competing as a pair. 

Junior Diya Menon (Plano, Texas) will open her season with doubles on Friday. 

UTSA will face Cameron at 10 a.m. on Friday, ACU at 1 p.m. on Saturday and UNM at 12 p.m. CT.
