Roadrunners fall to Bulls

SAN ANTONIO – South Florida defeated the Roadrunners 5-0 Sunday afternoon in the final match of the UTSA tournament.
 
UTSA falls to 3-2-0 on the season, while USF improves to 4-1-0 on the season.
 

 
The Bulls scored early with a goal in the 12th minute. Aubrey Megrath shot from the left side of the goal and shot over the keeper's head.
 
USF scored again in the 24th minute with Megrath found the lower right corner off a pass from Evelyne Viens.
 
The Bulls led 2-0 at the half.
 
Brianna Blethen headed the ball off a corner kick in the 73rd minute as USF led 3-0.
 
Just two minutes later, the Bulls increased their lead to four after a goal from Viens.
With 10 minutes remaining in the game, Emma Davies found the far corner for the final USF goal.
 
Isa Hernandez posted one shot on goal, while the Roadrunners totaled four shots. Freshman goalkeeper Jil Schneider had four saves on the day.
