SAN ANTONIO– Freshman Bianca Ejesieme was named to the UTSA Classic All-Tournament team Sunday.
The Rowlett, Texas native recorded a .354 hitting percentage, converting 21 of her 48 attempts, committing just four miscues, while adding five digs and four blocks in the three matches.
Ejesieme recorded a hitting percentage of .308 or higher in each match, including career best .400 (nine kills, one error and 20 attempts) against UTRGV Saturday. Her nine kills versus the Vaqueros is a career high, while the 20 matches the most in her first six collegiate contests. She tallied two blocks against Houston and Maryland each.
UTSA returns to action Friday at the Tulsa Invitational against SIU Edwardsville at 11 a.m. in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
