SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA soccer team hosts Rice on Sunday to close out the month of September. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Park West Athletics Complex.

Scouting UTSA
UTSA enters the weekend after a tough 3-4 loss in overtime to Middle Tennessee on Sept. 22. The Roadrunners have a 4-3-1, 0-1-0 C-USA record on the season.
Abby Kassal scored her first goal of the season to tie the game, while Deja Sandoval posted her second goal with a header off a corner kick. Rounding off the goals for UTSA was Ellis Patterson, who now leads the team with four goals this season.
Sophie Milich leads the keepers with a 3-1-1 record and 14 saves.
Scouting Rice
The Owls come into the contest after a double overtime game to Middle Tennessee which resulted in a 2-2 tie in Murfreesboro on Thursday. Rice is 4-4-1, 1-0-1 C-USA this season so far.
Haley Kostyshyn leads the Owls with four goals and 10 points, while Louise Stephens is close behind with three goals. On the goalkeeper side, Bella Killgore leads with 26 saves and a 3-2-1 record.
Cantoberfest Kickoff
Fans can enjoy Cantoberfest Kickoff during Sunday's match. Student-athletes from UTSA teams will be there to interact with fans and play games while enjoying the game. Fans are encouraged to bring canned food items that will be donated to the food bank in October.
