SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's golf team will travel to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU on Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 22-24.
The Roadrunners will compete against 16 teams in the 54-hole event slated for Trinity Forest Golf Club, home of the PGA TOUR's AT&T Byron Nelson. The field also includes Abilene Christian, Arizona State, Ball State, College of Charleston, Denver, Houston, Kansas State, Little Rock, Marquette, Mississippi State, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU, UC Davis and Virginia.
UTSA is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Lone Star Invitational earlier this week at TPC San Antonio. The Roadrunners posted an 896 during their annual 54-hole home tournament. Collin Clark led the lineup by finishing ninth with a 2-over-par 218 (73-75-70), while David Harrison, who competed as an individual, led all players with a tie for seventh (70-72-75—217).
The Roadrunners tied for eighth place with an 850 at last year's Trinity Forest Invitational behind a 15th-place showing from Sean Meehan, who carded a 5-under 208 (69-71-68).
