Riley places eighth at Pan-Am Games in long jump

SAN ANTONIO – Former UTSA track & field standout Adrian Riley finished the long jump in eighth place in the 2019 Pan-Am Games, on Wednesday at Athletics Stadium in Lima, Peru. 
 
Riley, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, totaled a 7.57-meter jump, just behind seventh-place finisher Andwuelle Wright (7.62m) and ahead of ninth-place Jose Luis Mandros Martinez (7.56m). 
 
Riley starred for the Roadrunners during his collegiate career, which concluded in 2018 as a second-team All-America selection at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. 
 
He was a second-team All-Conference USA honoree in the decathlon in the 2018 C-USA Outdoor Championships and second-team all-conference honors in the heptathlon in the C-USA Indoor Championships.
