SAN ANTONIO -- UTSA track & field great Adrian Riley is slated to represent his home country of Jamaica in the 2019 Pan-Am Games, competing in the men's long jump on Wednesday night at the Athletics Stadium in Lima, Peru.
Riley, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, will represent his nation on Wednesday night as one of 14 athletes to qualify for the men's long jump. Riley joins fellow countrymen Tajay Gayle in the field.
Riley completed his decorated UTSA career in 2018 as a second-team All-American at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. Riley earned second-team All-Conference USA honors in the decathlon in the 2018 C-USA Outdoor Championships and second-team all-league accolades in the heptathlon in the C-USA Indoor Championships.
He was also an all-conference honoree in the decathlon and heptathlon as a junior and earned second-team accolades as a sophomore in the heptathlon.
