SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head coach Frank Wilson, senior safety Carl Austin III and senior offensive lineman Josh Dunlop will represent the Roadrunners at the annual Conference USA Football Kickoff. The two-day event is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 17, at the Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The league's head coaches and two student-athletes from each school will be on hand to preview the upcoming season, the seventh for UTSA as a member of C-USA. The UTSA contingent and the rest of the West Division schools are scheduled to meet with the media from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, while the East Division is slated for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday.
UTSA will provide coverage of the event through its official football social media platforms for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. C-USA also will provide live updates throughout the day. Photos, notes and other information will be posted on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Fans may join the social conversation throughout the day using the official hashtag #CUSAKickoff.
The C-USA Kickoff Show featuring interviews with coaches and players live from Frisco will be available on ESPN3 beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday. UTSA is scheduled to appear on air at approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Television coverage previewing the upcoming season will be provided by the league's TV partners. CBS Sports Network, NFL Network, Stadium and CUSA TV each will have crews in Frisco to shoot interviews that will be available on various platforms to preview the upcoming campaign.
