UTSA inks Nicole Polivchak to National Letter of Intent

SAN ANTONIO —UTSA head women's golf coach Summer Batiste announced Tuesday that she has signed Nicole Polivchak, a transfer from Northern Colorado who is a member of the Poland National Team, to a National Letter of Intent. 
 
Polivchak will join the Roadrunners beginning with the 2019-20 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. She joins fall signee Camryn Carreon of San Antonio Incarnate Word High School as members of the 2019 signing class.
 
"We are excited to welcome Nicole Polivchak into our Roadrunner family," Batiste said. "After two years at Northern Colorado and five years representing the Poland National Team, we are confident that she will fit in perfectly with our great team culture here. Nicole has a good work ethic and high goals and she brings a wealth of international experience to our already strong team. We are looking forward to helping her maximize her huge potential."

2019 Polish Ladies Amateur Champion for ages 19-30 … also captured the 2019 Polish Ladies Match Play crown … dual citizen of Poland and the U.S. who is one of only six golfers on the Poland National Team and has competed internationally in Poland, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Iceland, England and Wales … played in 17 tournaments during her two-year career at Northern Colorado … carded a 223 (76-71-76) to finish 12th at the 2018 Big Sky Conference Tournament as a true freshman … also placed seventh with a 221 at the Bobcat Spring Invitational in her debut campaign … fired a 222 (73-72-77) to finish fifth at the Rose City Collegiate and tied for 13th with a 223 (79-74-70) at the Hobble Creek Classic as a sophomore … standout prep golfer for Riverview High School in Sarasota, Fla. … district co-medalist and regional qualifier as a junior ... registered numerous top-three finishes on the Florida State Golf Association Junior Tour … five-time Sarasota Junior City Championship winner, placing first in every age division she was 13.
