SAN ANTONIO – Battle of San Antonio on the diamond kicks off the final home stand in 2019 for UTSA.
 
The Roadrunners (22-25) host Incarnate Word (32-15) at Roadrunner Field at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

  • Bryan Arias homered in all three games last week, extending his streak to six games with a long ball.
  • Dylan Rock went 7-for-14 in three games last week, scoring four runs and driving in five. He has homered in two-straight contests. Rock's 24-game hitting streak to open the season is the longest in the country in Division I this year.
  • Ryan Stacy posted a .385 average with five hits in 13 at-bats in the three contests, including two doubles. He tallied three runs scored and saved a run with a leaping catch at the wall Saturday at Marshall.
  • Jake Harrison, Cameron Carver, Bradley Griggs, Connor Heffron, Hunter Mason and Ben Ostrominski tossed a combined 12.3 innings out of the bullpen, allowing four earned runs in three games. They allowed five hits and five walks, while striking out 15. 

UIW Notes: 

  • The Cardinals enter with a .317 batting average, while holding their opponents to a mark of .267.
  • Taylor Smith leads the team with 13 home runs and 48 RBIs.
  • Won seven of their last eight games, with the lone defeat coming by a score of 5-4 against Central Arkansas Saturday.
  • Trail Sam Houston State and Southeastern Louisiana by one game in the Southland Conference.
