SAN ANTONIO – In the final home game of 2019, UTSA dropped a 6-1 decision to Florida Atlantic Sunday at Roadrunner Field.
Senior Ryan Stacy registered three of the Roadrunners (24-26, 11-15 C-USA) seven hits, while senior Bradley Griggs allowed one run in 5.2 innings of work.
The Owls (34-17, 19-8 C-USA) built a 4-0 lead after two innings with one in first and three in the second.
Senior Bryan Arias drove in the Roadrunners first tally of the game in the bottom of the sixth.
FAU added solo runs in both the seventh and eighth, extending the margin out to 6-1.
Stacy led off the ninth with a single and scored on an RBI single by senior Garrett Moon. With the bases loaded and one out, the Owls Zach Schneider retired the final two hitters.
Jonathan Tapia registered a triple, while Dylan Rock and Aldo Buendia registered a double each for UTSA.
UTSA hits the road for one final time during the 2019 regular season with a three-game series at Charlotte. First pitch of Thursday's opener is at 5 p.m. CDT.
