SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team travels to Baylor on Tuesday for the final midweek game of the 2019 season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

The Roadrunners and the Lady Bears are meeting for the 41st time in program history with Baylor leading the series 27-13. The last meeting between the two teams was Feb. 13, 2019 when UTSA opened the home season hosting the Lady Bears. The Roadrunners are 6-14 in Waco.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA (20-27, 8-13) enters the contest after winning the conference series against UTEP, 2-1 over the weekend. The Roadrunners won games two and three in five innings each for a total of 19 runs.
Madison Washington led the team with a batting average of .444. The junior had a grand slam and a solo homer in game three to help UTSA secure the win and the series. Washington had eighth RBIs and 13 total bases with a slugging percentage of 1.444.
Clarissa Hernandez led in the circle with an ERA of 0.00 with a 2-0 record. The sophomore pitched 11.0 innings, with one shutout and only two walks.
UTSA is currently on the hunt for a spot in the Conference USA Championship. The Roadrunners currently sit in seventh place above UTEP.
Scouting Baylor
Baylor comes into the game 18-29 overall. The Bears just recently lost to No. 10.7 LSU, 2-1 in the series.
Goose McGlaun leads the team with a .341 batting average. The junior has 43 hits and 20 runs. Regan Green leads the pitchers with an ERA of 3.83 with a 3-5 record.
