SAN ANTONIO –UTSA makes its second trip to Alabama in 2019 but the first-ever trip to UAB and Young Morris Field. Due to the Easter weekend, the series begins Thursday instead of the normal Friday for Conference USA.
The Roadrunners (16-21, 6-9 C-USA) and the Blazers (16-22, 3-12 C-USA) have never met in the regular season and just once all-time. UTSA claimed a 4-1 victory in the first round of the 2014 Conference USA Baseball Championship.

UTSAenters the weekend winning three of the last five contests but have dropped three of the first five C-USA series. The Roadrunners are coming off a 16-4 rout of Texas A&M – Corpus Christ Tuesday. The run-rule victory was the second straight week UTSAled by more than 10 after the opponents batted in the seventh.
Karan Patel has spun six consecutive quality starts and gets the ball in game one of the series. Jason Marshall needs three wins to register 200 coaching victories in his career, all at UTSA.
The Blazers enter the weekend with a three-game losing streak and have dropped four of their last six league contests.
As a team, UAB hits .273 and sores over five runs per game but the Blazers allow nearly five and a half runs per clash and hit .277.
