SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team will continue a five-match stretch away from home with a rivalry tilt at Texas State, slated for 11 a.m. on Saturday.
UTSA (6-8) will face Texas State (3-4) in its fifth straight away from the UTSA Tennis Center. The Roadrunners will return home for three consecutive matches, starting on Tuesday.
UTSA owns a 33-41 mark in singles and a 17-16 record in doubles early in 2019.
The Roadrunners have been led by junior Laura Cabrera, who owns a 7-5 mark in singles and junior Kylee Kato, who also sports a 7-5 record. Kato and freshman Jasmin Starr are off to a 7-4 mark in doubles. Sophie Omoworare and senior Charleen Tiwari are 7-3 in doubles. Starr has posted a 5-8 record in the No. 1 role in singles.
Catalina Cabrique is 2-4 in singles and graduate student Mariah Plauth is 5-6 in singles. Tiwari has posted a 3-6 mark, with Diya Menon going 1-1 and Omoworare 3-6.
