Women's Tennis takes on UNT in Denton

SAN ANTONIO – After a two-match road swing through Las Vegas, UTSA women's tennis will return to the Lone Star State to travel to face Conference USA foe North Texas on Sunday at 11 a.m. 
 
UTSA (10-10) faced a pair of stiff tests in Las Vegas last weekend that snapped its four-match winning streak. The Roadrunners are sporting a 54-53 record in singles and a 25-23 mark in doubles. 
 
Juniors Laura Cabrera (Barcelona, Spain) and Kylee Kato (Kahului, Hawaii) lead the team with 10 wins each in singles. Graduate student Mariah Plauth (Florianopolis, Brazil) and freshman Jasmin Starr (Templestowe, Victoria, Australia) each own nine singles wins. Freshman Catalina Cabrique (Bogata, Columbia) has five wins, with freshman Sophie Omoworare (Plano, Texas) has added four singles victories. 
 
Kato and Starr have led the way in the lead doubles role throughout the season, posting a 10-4 record and are winners in three straight. Omoworare and Charleen Tiwari (Perth, Australia) have posted a 7-4 record, with Cabrique and Omoworare owning a 3-1 mark. Diya Menon (Plano, Texas) has earned three doubles winners in a pair of different teams.
