LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- UTSA women's tennis saw Jasmin Starr, Laura Cabrera and Mariah Plauth earn singles points but New Mexico State was able to earn a 4-3 win over the Roadrunners, on Sunday morning at the NM State Tennis Center.
UTSA (6-7) narrowly fell at NMST (5-4), with the Aggies winning the doubles point and three singles points.
"This was a tough match for our team," UTSA head coach Ki Kroll said. "But I'm so proud of the fight our team is showing, We never quit and were almost able to pull it out. We'll take several positives out of this match and continue moving in the right direction."
The Roadrunners will return to action on Wednesday, traveling to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2 p.m.
