SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's golf team will host the Lone Star Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, March 19-20, at Briggs Ranch Golf Club (par 72/7,247 yards). Admission is free.
The Roadrunners will welcome 14 other teams to the 54-hole tournament, which is now in its ninth year. Arkansas State, No. 36 Kansas, Little Rock, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, No. 11 and defending champion Oklahoma, Rice, Southern Miss, Texas State, ULM and UTEP will join UTSA in the field, which will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts each day.

UTSA placed fifth at last year's Lone Star Invitational after posting a 17-under-par 847 (279-280-288), the program's best scorecard in the history of the tournament. Zander Lozano tied for sixth with a 7-under 209 (69-66-74) to lead the way, while Bryce Alley and Sean Meehan tied for 18th at 3-under 213.
In the team's last outing, Meehan, who was competing as an individual, tied for third place with an 8-under 208 (69-69-70), both career bests, to highlight UTSA action at the Border Olympics on March 9-10 in Laredo, Texas. Meanwhile, Jake Goodman tied for 12th with a 5-under 211 (70-71-70) to lead the Roadrunners to 12th place.
