Women's hoops hosts Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sunday

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team closes out its non-conference slate hosting Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sunday for the final game of 2018. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
 
All-time series
The Roadrunners and the Javelinas are meeting for the 11th time in program history with UTSA leading the series 9-1. The last time the two teams met was Nov. 16, 2016 when the Roadrunners won 70-44.
 
Scouting UTSA
UTSA (4-7) is coming off a nine-day break after a tough loss at UT Arlington on Dec. 20. The Roadrunners fell to the Mavericks, 53-48 in the final minute of the game.
 
Marie Benson became the 15thRoadrunner to reach 500 career rebounds and now has 510 and ranks 14th all-time.

Texas A&M-Kingsville (3-6) enters the contest after a 90-67 victory over Texas A&M International on Dec. 17.
 
Brynae Thompson, Ravae Payne, Cloe Lane and Bri-Anna Soliz all scored in double digits, with Thompson garnering her seventh double-digit game this season.
