SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team travels to Arlington to take on UT Arlington Thursday afternoon for the final road game of 2018. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at College Park Center.
All-time series
The Roadrunners and the Mavericks are meeting for the 62ndtime in program history. UTA currently leads the series 33-28. The last time the two teams met was Nov. 15, 2017 when the Mavericks came to the Alamo City and won 69-68 in overtime.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA (4-6) enters the contest after an 87-77 victory over San Diego on Dec. 15. The Roadrunners shot 52.2 percent from the field, while Marie Benson posted her fifth double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
Along with Marie Benson, three other Roadrunners scored double digits, including Barbara Benson with 19 points and Tija Hawkins and Karrington Donald who each had 18.
Scouting UT Arlington
UT Arlington (6-2) comes into Thursday off a 65-61 overtime-win at Houston.
The Mavericks shot 36.3 percent from the field and forced 27 turnovers with 14 steals.
Cierra Johnson led the team with 23 points and five rebounds, wile Laurynn McGowen followed behind with 11 points and three rebounds.
UTA returns home after a five-game road trip and a 4-1 record.
Thursday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.
