SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team hosts I-35 rival Texas State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.

The Roadrunners and the Bobcats are facing each other for the 67th time in program history. Each team has won on 33 occasions with the last competition on Dec. 5, 2017 when Texas State won 91-38.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA (2-2) enters the contest after a 61-58 victory over UTRGV on Nov. 14 at home. Marie Benson led the team with 19 points and six rebounds. Karrington Donald followed behind with 13 points and three rebounds, while freshman Ryann Stearns scored 10 points and four rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 46.9 percent from the field and made 50 percent of 3-pointers.
Scouting Texas State
Texas State comes into the competition with a 1-2 record after losses to New Mexico and Montana State. Senior guard Toshua Leavitt led the Bobcats with 19 points per night and has reached double-figures in 10-consecutive games dating back to the 2017-18 season. Against Montana State, TXST shot 31.9 percent from the field making 22 of 69 field goals.
