SAN ANTONIO - UTSA women's basketball head coach Kristen Holt announced the signing of three student-athletes for the class of 2019 during early signling perod on Friday.
The class is made of up guards Charlene Mass and Mikayla Woods and forward Adryana Quezada.
Charlene Mass
Position: Guard
Hometown: Converse, Texas
High School: Veterans Memorial HS (San Antonio)
Quote from coach Holt on Mass: "We are excited that Charlene will be a UTSA Roadrunner. She is a very good point guard that was an integral part of helping her Veterans Memorial high school team finish as state runner-ups last season. Charlene's defense and athleticism will take this program to the next level."
Bio: Charlene Mass is a 5'8" junior who attends Veterans Memorial high school in San Antonio. Charlene's team went 33-11 this season and advanced to the Class 4A state championship game. As a starting guard for her team, Mass led her team in scoring and steals with 15 points and three steals per game. Her team's success and her individual accomplishments allowed her to be named as a member of the all-state team. She is interested in UTSA's cybersecurity major.

Adryana Quezada
Position: Forward
Hometown: Frisco, Texas
High School: Frisco Lonestar HS
Quote from coach Holt on Quezada: "Adryana is a very good wing/forward that has the ability to score inside and out. The experiences that she has gained in high school and AAU will benefit our program greatly. I love her work ethic and the attitude that she will bring to the Runners."
Bio: Adryana Quezada is a 5'10" high school senior who attends Frisco Lonestar high school. This past season her high school team finished with a record of 34-5 and made it to the regional semifinal game after winning their district with a 14-0 record. Quezada scored 15 points and seven rebounds per game. She also played for Premier Basketball's "Team Lex", one of the top club teams in the country this past summer. She is interested in pre-med, possibly wanting to go into Pediatric Cardiology.

Mikayla Woods
Position: Guard
Hometown: Pflugerville, Texas
High School: Hendrickson HS
Quote from coach Holt on Woods: "Mikayla is a very talented and athletic combo guard. Her ability to defend and score in transition will be an immediate impact at the college level. I am excited that she has chosen UTSA."
Bio: Mikayla Woods is a 5'6" high school senior who attends Hendrickson high school in Pflugerville, Texas. This past season her high school team finished with a record of 37-7 and was the 6A Region 2 Runner-Up. It was the first time in school history that Hendrickson made it to the regional finals. Woods led her team in scoring with 15 points and three assists per game while also averaging six rebounds per game. Woods was named All-Central Texas Player of the Year by Austin's American-Statesman in 2018. In the summer, she plays club team basketball with AD Elite. She is interested in majoring in Kinesiology on the Pre-Physical Therapy track.
