WACO, Texas -- Four UTSA women's tennis student-athletes will compete in the H-E-B Invitational, hosted by Baylor on Friday-Sunday.
Laura Cabrera (Barcelona, Spain) and Kylee Kato (Kahului, Hawai'i) open the event with a doubles match at 9 a.m. CT on Firday vs. the Texas doubles duo of Fernanda Labrana and Katie Poluta. The winner advanced to the quarterfinals on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
Charleen Tiwari (Perth, Australia) and freshman Sophie Omoworare (Plano, Texas) will team up for a doubles match on Friday at 9 a.m. vs. Anna Brogan and Maria Genovese from Tyler Junior College.
In singles, Omoworare will fave Baylor's Jessica Hinojosa at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, with Tiwari slate to face Sam Houston State's Sahaja Yamalapall at 10:15 a.m. Cabrera will face Tyler CC's Summer Yardley at 10:15 a.m.
