SAN ANTONIO —
UTSA head women's golf coach Summer Batiste has named Daniel Park as assistant coach.

"I'm thrilled to have Daniel join the Roadrunner Family," Batiste said. "With experience in international junior golf and working for the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour, Daniel will help bolster our recruiting efforts. His passion for the game of golf and developing student-athletes is unmatched, and he shares similar core values as our program and athletics department. He will be a great addition to our staff."

"Having been presented the opportunity to work with Coach Batiste and be a coach of such a talented and competitive team, I cannot wait to get started," Park said. "The philosophies behind UTSA academics and athletics resonate strongly with me, and I hope to help in all aspects of UTSA women's golf achieving its program goals."

Park comes to San Antonio from Auburn, Ala., where he held dual roles as a golf coach at Auburn High School since February 2017 and a marketing and tournament director for the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour since August of last year.

While at Auburn High, he helped the Tigers to three tournament titles in 2018 and helped tutor NCAA Division
