SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off winning the Lone Star Invitational last week, the UTSA men's golf team will travel to Dallas to compete in the Trinity Forest Invitational on Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 23-25, at Trinity Forest Golf Club (par 71/7,302 yards).
The Roadrunners will compete against Abilene Christian, Ball State, Baylor, College of Charleston, Florida, Little Rock, New Mexico, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Rice, Sam Houston State and host SMU. UTSA is coming off its second team title of the calendar year. The Roadrunners won the season-opening Lone Star Invitational on Sept. 10-11 at TPC San Antonio's Oaks Course with a 2-over-par 578, two shots better than Arkansas State in the 15-team field. Senior Sean Meehan shared individual medalist honors after carding a 4-under 140 (68-72) for his second collegiate victory, and the San Antonio native earned Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week honors for his performance.
Now in its second year, the Trinity Forest Invitational is contested on the same course as the PGA TOUR's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship.
